It seems like all my web traffic cares about is whether or not Artie is coming back to the show. For all you Artie fans near Levittown, PA - he is doing a gig there tonight at Levy’s.

Is Artie Coming Back?
April 19th, 2008 · No Comments
According to what I heard on the Howard100 News while driving home:
Artie was quoted as saying he would be back on Monday to a cheering audience in Union NJ. Now, this is the only thing I have heard on the subject. Steve Langford put it out there that there has been no ‘official’ word from the Stern Show on this, and Artie could just be stopping by to say “goodbye”, or worse yet - security might not let him in the building.
Some people have told me this all might be a publicity ploy. I do not think so, but what do I know. The last time Artie had an episode similar to this, it was also right before a week long vacation. Read the link to wikipedia, decide for yourself.
I think the Stern show staff and Sirius management should (if they are not already) be forgiving enough to understand Artie’s temperment and how easily he can be set off. Sure it creates tension on the set, however this is what real “radio gold” is. Where else can something like this happen except on reality TV? And by the way, who do you think invented the “reality” format when he invented reality radio.
If Artie does end up leaving, at least bring Penny Crone back.

PetSmart sued over infected hamster blamed in 3 deaths - Yahoo News
Do not buy hamsters from Petsmart. We lost two hamsters within days of getting them home almost 2 years ago. Will not buy a pet there ever again. This may even explain the anomolies in my last liver test.

Damn I am going to miss Artie Lange if he leaves the Stern Show.
April 17th, 2008 · 1 Comment
My Parents: My father has moved to Mexico to be with his chica. Good for him. It’s nice to have a chica. There are some really hot Mexican women out there. I am from the good ole USA, I can probably find someone from Mexico relatively easy if I ever needed to again; or get robbed and killed in a strange land. Thank goodness I am married.
On Sirius: Artie Lange got in another ‘fight’ on the Stern show last week. People joke about Ronnie the Limo Driver being ineffective, but he probably prevented a violent incident in the studio. I was in elementary school when Howard Stern was on DC-101. When he was replaced by the Doug Tracht AKA ”The Greaseman”, it really made no difference to me, I never listened. It was always the Greaseman stuff I heard about and his suspensions for racy comments. I figured Howard just disappeared into radio oblivion, that was until I saw him on the MTV VMAs as Fartman, asscheeks exposed and all. Not too long after in the early nineties, I was driving a car through DC and tuned to 106.7 WJFK and heard what sounded like a syndicated Howard Stern Show. Still not really a fan nor an occasional listener. Then in the mid to late 90s, I would come across the E Show he used to run; still that did not convert me to join his brood of listeners. It was not until I saw Artie Lange sitting in that studio in the early 21st century that I became interested in listening. I remember Artie from MadTV. He was funny then, granted he was on COKE at the time. After I started listening, I became hooked on the show. The reason I still listen and followed the show to Sirius satellite, is because of Artie. He can make a dull moment on the show very interesting. Do not get me wrong - I like Howard and the others as well, but there is a certain formula that works when Artie is in the studio with them or just the subject of discussion when he’s sleeping or absent.
My Health: As I wrote in my earlier blog entry, “My Big Butt Problems”, I split a third pair Levis. I am actually going to hire a personal trainer to get me motivated to use my gym membership and get back into the various martial arts I was involved with before Diabetes sets in and gets comfy with me. Quitting smoking may have been the most unhealthy thing I have done. I am looking at 40 lbs of weight gain. I move like an old Gorilla.
My Job: I have a rule about not talking about work for confidentiality reasons of my clients and my employer; however, I will leave that stuff out of this note and make an exception. Over the last three years I have developed a good and solid friendship with one of my co-workers who has left for another department. He was like my partner in crime. We always knew how to get each other going. We both had a twisted sense of humor.
Here is how much we had in common:
- We shared a birthday
- We are both 1/2 Thai
- We shared an employer and worked in the same department
- We are both Diabetic (he is, I am in denial - still fighting it until I get another opinion)
- We both love to eat
- We both love to learn
- Did I mention the TWISTED SENSE OF HUMOR?
- When my father was in Thailand he reported to a colonel with my friends surname, I was the Supervisor in charge during the shift window where he and I worked together; although the two are not related.
My Friends: You never realize how many people who you have lost touch with or knew growing up until you browse the pages of Myspace. It is amazing how many people I have reconnected with since I started using it. Between Myspace and Facebook, I think I have my work cut out for me on finding old friends although most people I want to find are already on my list. I see a few road trips in the near future to pay a few visits to some of them.
My Charity and Non-Profit Activities: I have been spending time building websites for a charitable organization that wants to give expectant mothers an alternative to abortion if they want to keep their babies. This is one thing I can get behind. So far I have built the page templates for them and give advice on copy writing. I expect this will turn into a second job for me and I hope the folks appreciate what I am doing for them. It looks like I will get to wear many hats and gain lots of new experiences while maintaining my existing skill set. I am also doing all this for no money. They have given me a desk to work from and will set me up with my own computer and phone. I told them that it was not required because I travel with my computer and phone 24/7. I just need an outlet. Soon, you will all be hearing about the project I am working on and I will let you all know the site once I have uploaded all the content to their webhost. I plan on using the experience to develop my own non-profit organization giving free or lowcost IT services and fundraising services to other NPCs.
Funny, with all this going on in my life, all I can think about is Artie leaving the show. Nothing else matters.

My Big Butt Problems
April 16th, 2008 · No Comments
I love to tell people how I have quit smoking for so long. I am so proud of myself for doing it. Then I look in the mirror and see how much I am beginning to resemble Jabba the Hutt. Now I am not so proud. What do I do. The downside to conquering addiction, weight gain. Great for meth, heroin and coke addicts, not so good for ex-smokers.
Yesterday my jeans split while I was working at my desk. How embarrassing. I played it cool though. Just let the old oxford shirt hang out untucked. As the day progressed, my little tear had become a major exhibit. I wonder if anyone had seen my “drahhhs”. Better not be looking at me bum. I wonder, does that constitute harrassment or a hostile work environment if someone inadvertantly sees my bloated, unattractive ass?
Rather than dealing with the situation by going to the store to get new jeans, I rode out the day.
You people are probably thinking: “What a bummer for you, Miles.”
Not really. It was actually the highlight of my week. To be able to say I split another pair of Levis. It was kind of funny for me actually. I have been kind of depressed lately. Maybe I am menopausal, LOL? I do know why, but it is one of those things I can’t articulate without hurting people. So rather than hurt people, I just keep driving on. The people I need to understand won’t anyway, so I just leave it alone.

Clinton knocks on doors in Scranton, Pa. - Yahoo! News
She lies about sniper fire and has the nerve to attack Obama for choosing the wrong words. What’s amazing is that Dems and Liberals have said exactly what Obama has said or worse about the same group of people that Obama was talking about. I have even heard those people called stupid and illiterate by other leading Democratic personalities for voting themselves poor by supporting Republicans. I cannot name them at this time because I never thought I would be writing this so I never documented it. Whether he chose the right words or not, he still spoke the truth, unlike Hilary.
shameful politics. it is amazing to see how low people will sink to become leader of the free world.
